Whatever the outcome is, he already won. He’s fucking loaded too.

I've been thinking that too, that Depp probably went into it knowing he would most likely lose and WANTING to lose his pretty much unwinnable case, because then he can feed his victim narrative and insist that men are totally at a disadvantage in the justice system against women, which is rhetoric he's already working on publicizing in podcasts before he's even lost the case, teaming up with other notoriously violent and powerful celebrity men at it.
